Will >=1 qualifying blockbuster/major-franchise video game be released in the US within 1.5 months of 2028 prez election

Resolution criteria: This market resolves YES if at least one qualifying video game is officially released in the U.S. during the qualifying window. This market resolves NO if no qualifying video game is officially released in the U.S. during that window. Qualifying release window: September 23, 2028 through November 7, 2028, inclusive, using U.S. Eastern Time when needed. What counts as a qualifying video game? A game qualifies if it is a new standalone release, remake, reboot, or major expansion from a blockbuster or major-franchise property. A release counts if at least one of the following is true before or at release: It is a new release in a franchise that has previously had at least one installment publicly reported to sell at least 10 million copies; It is a new release in a franchise or platform with at least 50 million publicly reported registered users, monthly active users, or lifetime players; It is a new mainline release from a clearly major franchise such as Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty, Fortnite, Minecraft, Roblox, Pokémon, Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, The Witcher, Cyberpunk, EA Sports FC, Madden, NBA 2K, Battlefield, Halo, Assassin’s Creed, Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter, God of War, Spider-Man, or similarly large franchises; It is widely described by multiple reliable gaming or business publications as a major AAA/blockbuster release. What counts as “released”? A release counts if the game becomes playable by the general U.S. public through purchase, subscription, free-to-play launch, or official open release on at least one major platform, including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, PC, iOS, Android, or a major cloud/subscription service. Early access / beta / preload rules: Preorders do not count. Preloads do not count. Closed betas do not count. Open betas count only if they are free/open to the general U.S. public and are marketed as a major public launch or season/event launch. Early access counts only if anyone in the U.S. can pay or subscribe to play during the window, and the release is not limited to press, influencers, employees, or private invitees. Evidence used for resolution: I will resolve based on official publisher/developer announcements, official platform store pages, and reliable gaming/business reporting. If sources disagree, official publisher/developer/platform information takes priority unless it is clearly erroneous or later corrected. Delay rules: If a qualifying game is scheduled for the window but delayed outside the window before becoming playable, this resolves NO unless another qualifying release occurs in the window. If a game launches in some countries before the window but launches in the U.S. during the window, it counts. If a game launches in the U.S. before October 8, 2028, it does not count, even if reviews, marketing, Twitch events, or tournaments occur during the window. Resolution date: Resolve after November 8, 2028, once release status is clear.
