What this market actually measures
Resolution criteria This market resolves to YES if, by December 31, 2026, it is officially confirmed or widely documented by reliable sources (such as OpenRouter, Hugging Face, or independent technical audits) that Union Alpha is an LLM router or API wrapper that routes/forwards user prompts to other distinct underlying models (such as Claude, GPT, or Gemini) to generate its outputs. This market resolves to NO if Union Alpha is confirmed to be a standalone, uniquely trained neural network model whose outputs are generated directly by its own weights (including Mixture-of-Experts architectures), or if no routing/wrapping behavior to other models is proven by the resolution date. Background On September 16, 2026, a mysterious "stealth" model named Union Alpha (stealth/union-alpha) went live on OpenRouter and OpenCode. Boasting a 262K context window and free multimodal capabilities, it follows a similar playbook to previous stealth drops like Ox Alpha (later revealed to be GLM-5.3-Flash). Because some services have previously been exposed for posing as original model developers while secretly routing API requests to cheaper third-party models, this market tracks whether Union Alpha is a genuine standalone neural network or an LLM router/wrapper in disguise. Update 2026-09-16 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): - If Union Alpha farms out requests to other models, the market will resolve to YES, even if there is a neural component to the system.
